Trim Levels (Exterior)

The 2020 Dodge Durango comes in seven trim levels: SXT, SXT Plus, GT, GT Plus, Citadel, R/T, and Citadel Anodized Platinum. All seven trim levels have both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations; however, an eighth SRT trim level only comes in all-wheel drive. The SXT trims come with 18-inch painted aluminum wheels while the other trim levels have 20-inch satin carbon or platinum chrome aluminum wheels. The SRT trim, however, is equipped with 20-inch low-gloss black multi spoke wheels. Other standard exterior features vary among the Durango trim levels. These features include automatic halogen headlamps on all trims and a power liftgate, heated fold-away mirrors, exterior mirrors with supplemental signals, and exterior mirrors with memory among the various trims.

Engine (Power)

The Durango's base engine is a 3.6-liter V-6 24 V VVT engine equipped with electronic stop/start for better fuel economy. This V-6 engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic 850RE transmission. The R/T trim is instead equipped with a 5.7-liter V-8 HEMI MDS VVT engine and the SRT trim has a 6.4-liter V-8 SRT HEMI MDS engine. The 5.7-liter V-8 engine is available in the Citadel two-wheel drive trims and standard on the Citadel Anodized Platinum all-wheel drive trim. Both the 5.7-liter and 6.4-liter V-8 engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic 8HP70 transmission.

Performance

The Durango boasts its impressive available towing capacity. The 3.6-liter V-6 engine can haul up to 6,200 pounds of hardware, the 5.7-liter V-8 can tow up to 7,400 pounds, and the 6.4-liter V-8 can tow up to 8,700 pounds. When you're traveling with a trailer in tow, you can depend on this SUV to prevent trailer sway and make the necessary adjustments to keep you and your load on the road. The rear-wheel drive configuration of the Durango also has near-perfect weight distribution and shifts weight to the drive axle, providing you with better traction.

Interior

The 2020 Dodge Durango's standard interior features across most of the trim levels include the premium instrument cluster with tachometer, vehicle information center, power front windows with one-touch up and down, air conditioning with three-zone automatic temperature control, and rear air conditioning. Several of the upper trim levels also come with heated first- and second-row seats and a heated steering wheel with the option for leather trimmed bucket seats. Most trim levels also offer, as an added option, a rear DVD entertainment center.

Safety Features

The Durango has many of the newest safety features to keep your family safe around town and on the highway. Standard safety and security features across all trims include remote keyless entry, push-button start, electronic stability control , enhanced accident response system, supplemental front seat side air bags, and advanced multistage front air bags.
