As an adventurer, the 2019 Jeep Wrangler is your best friend. Raring to go and built for the toughest terrain, the Wrangler manages to traverse the great outdoors with relative ease. With five trims and two limited editions, there is sure to be a Wrangler that will suit your needs. The following are some of the most rugged features of the 2019 Jeep Wrangler.
Underbody Shield
Each Jeep Wrangler is strengthened with skid plates to keep the innards of the vehicle protected while battling the off-road trails. The heavy-gauge steel skid plates ensure that the fuel tank and transfer case is safeguarded at all times and a skid bar keeps the automatic transmission oil pan shielded from all scrapes and knocks.
Jeep 4×4 Systems
Traction is the efficient transfer of engine power to the ground. The Jeep Wrangler has a selection of 4×4 systems to handle some of the toughest outdoor conditions.
Starting with the Command-Trac® 4×4 System, Jeep’s powerful off-road capability kicks in to beat every obstacle when the four-wheel drive is engaged. Four-low range offers the low-speed power and the control that is needed for trail driving or towing.
The Selec-Trac® 4×4 System operates in full-time mode that automatically switches from two-wheel drive to four-wheel drive when necessary. It analyzes the conditions and sends torque to the wheels with the most grip. This system impressively traverses snow, rocks, and mud. It has a Smart Lock, which keeps the vehicle in four-wheel drive during challenging conditions.
Finally, the well-known Rock-Trac®4×4 System comes standard on the Rubicon, giving far more control and torque, which results in outstanding off-road action in the most unpredictable conditions.
High-Strength Steel Construction
Jeep’s high-strength steel forms a hardy body structure for better crash protection. It also improves the vehicle dynamics and weight. Engineered with prevention in mind, the high-strength steel beams, together with the front and side airbags, improve impact performance and protect the passengers of the vehicle.
Wheels and Fenders
The Jeep Wrangler is fitted with wheels and fenders that enhance each model. The top of the range Sahara sports slim fenders with the same color as the vehicle, which is also available to the Rubicon. Robust black fenders come standard with the Sport and Rubicon models. The Rubicon has the added advantage of high-clearance fender flares made for the standard 33-inch off-road, all-terrain tires, however up to 35-inch tires can be accommodated.
Wash-out Interior
After an arduous day of trail-blazing, the Jeep looks the part both inside and out. Mud and dust seem to get everywhere. The handy wash-out interior allows you to easily wash not only the exterior of the vehicle, but also to eradicate the interior grime. The removable carpets and the one-way floor drain valves make cleaning this rugged SUV so much more convenient.
The 2019 Jeep Wrangler has undergone rigorous testing under the harshest of conditions on the most grueling of terrains. Its features allow it to deliver incredible off-road capability, including spectacular maneuverability, articulation, ground clearance, water fording, and traction.
