If you’re looking to max out horsepower, the RAM 1500 is the clear winner. The RAM 1500 TRX reigns supreme, boasting an incredible 702 horsepower courtesy of its Supercharged HEMI® V-8 engine. The 2022 RAM 2500 is still undeniably powerful, reaching 410 horsepower.

Towing Capacity

While both full-size pickup trucks shine in this category, the 2022 RAM 2500 edges into the top spot. Designed specifically for heavy-duty hauling, the RAM 2500 can tow between 10,520 pounds and 15,220 pounds, depending on the engine. The RAM 1500 is close behind, with a towing capacity range from 6,120 pounds to 8,280 pounds.

Comfort and Cargo

Both pickup trucks provide roomy seating for up to six, depending on configuration (regular cab, quad cab, crew cab, or mega cab). The cabins are comparable in size, but with both in a Crew Cab configuration, the RAM 1500 provides more passenger space. The 2022 RAM 1500 also offers best-in-class rear legroom and class-exclusive reclining rear seats to ensure every member of your crew is comfy on the road ahead!
